The first exhibition in Italy of Chinese artist Wang Luyan features a series of new paintings realized specifically for the exhibition and a large sculpture of a pistol in stainless steel. Wang Luyan’s work transforms ulitiliarian and common every day objects into irrational and dangerous ones to use, in ways opposed to their normal functions. The exhibition is curated by Lorand Hegyi.
Wang Luyan has been an important presence in the Chinese avant garde since it emerged in the 1970s.

The exhibition will take place through October 31 at Galleria Alessandro Bagnai in the center of Florence.
