Ai Weiwei.Libero

On September 28th, NYU Florence students were invited to a unique evening of art and exploration. They started at the Odeon Cinema, with an introduction to Ai Weiwei’s grand exhibit at Palazzo Strozzi, Ai Weiwei.Libero. There, they got to hear from three prominent speakers, including Arturo Galansino, General Director at Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, along with Pato Hebert and Hentyle Yapp, Art and Public Policy professors at NYU. Afterwards, they attended a brief reception at the museum, and then made their way into a private tour of the exhibit.

“A single piece is imperative to the beauty of the collective but also has the liberty to be separate from the other objects.”
