From Saturday June 4 to Monday June 6 Florence’s Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea will be organizing Murate Days, three days of art, literature and music events to celebrate the anniversary of the Le Murate complex, an ancient prison, which was closed in 1983 and transformed into a social housing complex with community spaces, becoming one of Florence’s most vibrant community culture centers.
