The Uffizi Gallery becomes an Open Air Cinema this Summer

This summer, the courtyard of Florence’s Uffizi Museum, which houses one of the most important collections of Renaissance masterpieces in the world, will be transformed into an open air cinema showcasing an impressive selection of international films as part of this year’s Estate Fiorentina Festival.

The Florentine public will be treated to a wide selection of films from around the world including Go Home by the Lebanese director Jihane Chouaib (featured here), Kapoor & Sons by India’s Shakun Batra, and Haemoo by Korean director Shim Sung-Bo, in addition to selections from Paraguay, Serbia, Finland and China. Films featured in some of Florence’s most important film festivals – the International Women’s film festival, the Queer film festival, Lo Schermo dell’Arte art film festival,  and the Festival dei Popoli documentary film festival – will also be shown.
